A round of golf has never been more rewarding!
Proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit more than 200 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Northeast Tennessee through the Developmental, Residential, Vocational & Health Programs at Dawn of Hope. These crucial Programs provide Person Centered Supports which include expert services to help people find jobs and be valued citizens of their communities while learning how to lead their own lives and pursue their own dreams. The following are some examples of how proceeds have been utilized:
- Developmental Program – Equipment for the Snoezelen Therapy Room, The Brain Fitness Program and Summer Camp Scholarships for service recipients
- Residential Program – personal care items, household items, holiday dinners, and funds to participate in activities in the local community.
- Vocational Program – ergonomic chairs for work stations, lunch room tables and chairs, various equipment which increased skill levels and increased employment opportunities
- Health Services – AED machines, otoscope, Stethoscopes, Blood pressure cuffs plus daily medical supplies including; medicine cups & spoons, latex gloves, band aids, thermometer probe covers, gauze and tape.
