Dawn of Hope Service Recipients Become Local Artists and Models!

Fashion & Art Show

The Dawn of Hope welcomes you to both their Annual Art Show on November 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well as to their Fall Fashion Show November 25 at 10 a.m.  Both events will take place at the Dawn of Hope Gymnasium located at 500 East Oakland Avenue and are open to the public.

The two events are paramount for Dawn of Hope Service Recipients who take much pride in their roles for each. After working year-round in preparation for the Art Show, individuals in the Developmental Program are delighted to see their work showcased for others. Those in the Excels Program will dazzle attendees when they walk the runway in formal wear. Since most service recipients do not have the opportunity to attend black tie events, the Fashion Show is a unique way for them to feel like a star. Paula Bridges, Director of Developmental Programs, explains “Our service recipients feel a deep sense of joy in being a part of these events, and we want to celebrate their creativity and success with the community.”

Help raise awareness for the work and mission of Dawn of Hope by being a part of these special days! Admission is free, and art may be purchased with cash or check.
