(Expanding Communications and Enhancing Living Skills)
This program offers supports to people who have intense needs requiring extra assistance from support staff. Much of the daily supports and training provided focus on eating and mealtime, self help skills including toileting and personal grooming. Follow through with individualized therapy plans and mobility or ambulation needs are also provided. People who attend the Dawn of Hope, Inc. Day Program learn to make choices and gain independence so that if they choose, they can pursue desires for self advocacy in a variety of ways and levels. The ratio of people receiving services to support staff is reflected by their intensive support needs.
