Walkway of Hope

The Walkway of Hope represents the legacy of many of the individuals who have been a part of the Dawn of Hope from its humble beginnings to the multi-faceted program offerings of today. The Walkway of Hope is a lasting symbol for enriching the lives of East Tennesseans with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Dawn of Hope Foundation launched the Walkway of Hope brick sale in July 2004 as a fundraiser for the Capital Campaign. The goal of the Capital Campaign was to raise $1 million to pay for the renovations to the New Dawn of Hope at Stratton. The campaign met its goal in August of 2004. The Foundation continues to raise money to help cover the cost of the renovations which totaled over $1.35 million. Proceeds from the brick sale will go toward paying the $350,000 debt. To date, 195 bricks have been sold.
