Spring Break Drawing and Silent Auction
The $10,000 Big Spring Break Drawing and Silent Auction
Every April the Foundation hosts The $10,000 Big Spring Break Drawing and Silent Auction at the Holiday Inn in Johnson City, Tennessee. It features a reverse raffle with the last ticket drawn winning $10,000 and a silent auction of items donated from businesses located throughout the Tri-cities. Music for the event is provided by the award winning blues man Lightnin’ Charlie. Proceeds from the event are allocated to pay for the renovations to the Dawn of Hope located at the former Stratton Elementary School.

The mission of the Dawn of Hope Foundation is to educate individuals and organizations about the existence, needs, and purpose of the Dawn of Hope, Inc. and to generate and manage resources, which will enhance the quality and scope of services provided to adults with mental retardation in Northeast Tennessee.
