2012 Spring Luau sets a record breaking year!

The Dawn of Hope Foundation hosted the 8th Annual Spring Luau at the Millennium Centre in Johnson City on Thursday, May 3rd. Thanks to the major sponsor of the event Cherokee Distributing Company, sponsors, donors and ticket holders – we raised over $59,000!

This was our biggest and best year yet! All proceeds will help to fund educational and life enhancing programs for the service recipients at Dawn of Hope.

That night, our raffle grand prize of $10,000 fell into the hands of Amy Dark. A total of 449 raffle tickets were purchased – a new record for the event!

The event would not have been possible without the dedication of the event’s planning committee. The members were Tim Smith, Maureen Mulroy, Nancy Brickey, Jeff Brunson, Sam East, Marsha Grindstaff, Rob Hungate, Tim Jones, Harvey Justice,  Rob Sampson, Jr., Angela Shrewsbury and Lynda Wexler.

Executive Director Lee Chase praised members of the committee for their successful undertaking of the event. In addition, he thanked members of the Dawn of Hope Foundation Board of Trustees and the Dawn of Hope Board of Directors for helping to achieve a record breaking year.

The Dawn of Hope service recipients and staff are extremely grateful for the support of the community. It is a blessing to have friends and partners like you who help make all we do possible.

If you would like more information on the event, please call the Dawn of Hope Foundation at 423-722-1689.
